I noticed a spider that drops down from the bar on the upper right indicating the number of flowers needed to open the next level. What is its purpose and can I get rid of it?

It's part of the Halloween decoration. I don't think you can stop it. It'll be gone in a few weeks.

I have it too. It'll probably go away with the end of the seasonal set. I can't find a purpose to it. I wonder if it came because I bought so many seasonal set tiles. Did you do that too?
