You should be able to buy items, as long as you have available space on your island. Make sure the space you intend to use is free of grass tiles, too. Putting a few low-flower items in storage, may also help. If that doesn't help, then contact customer support using the "help" button in the game settings (green gear icon).

Grass and trees are great because you can easily put them in storage and take them out again when needed. I keep all of my areas covered in one or the other, with one or two open (on the dock by the light house) so I can easily see when someone gifts me a plant. 0 0 REPORT
