Can I return to a previous team and try to recruit a member to my current team?

Sounds tricky. Maybe if you appoint a reliable officer to take your place, who can make sure you can get back in and make you president again. Also assumes that you can get in the other club to ask the other player. You'd have to ask publicly in the club chat that you want to steal them away.

You'll have to leave your current club to join another.
