Anyone else notice the blatant cheaters on Spot the Diff competitions?

Anyone else notice the blatant cheaters on Spot the Diff competitions? Some of those scores are ridiculously high and I’m positive no human could get them.
For reference, I take 20-30 sec per round and I take no breaks in between. For a 45 min comp, my scores are usually around 1.5 to 2 mill. Each of the top 5 teams for these comps usually have one or two players that score up to 2.5 mill, and I understand that. BUT There’s this one team “Letter J” where nearly all their members score upwards of 5 mill every. single. time. The score difference between them and all the other top teams are insane. Every time, they win first place and it’s unfair to the rest of us.
And they’re not the only teams that cheat, there’s many more. But this one is so not subtle about it. I know lots of teams even opt out of Spot the Diff comps specifically BECAUSE of these cheaters. We just don’t stand a chance against literal bots or whatever program they created. The time rush comps are fair; I mean you really can’t cheat those ( fingers crossed). It just sucks to have gameplay ruined and Wooga always responds with the same auto-reply response saying they’re “working on it” but there’s been no results even with countless reports by other players. These teams are still HERE.
I legit face “Letter J” every single spot the diff comp bc the junes journey grouping algorithm knows my team scores well and groups us with all the other high scoring players which unfortunately include those cheaters. I feel like Wooga is just not being proactive about this issue and it’s not high up on their list when it’s affecting so many players. Although I love spot the diff comps, if cheating is going to be the norm, I say they scrap the game from competitions completely.
My team was normally in the top 5 with normal scores. Over the past 3 or 4 months we have dropped to top 10 and now are sliding out of that spot due to super high scores that we can NOT see how that can happen. As far as the debate over ME, I agree its not cheating, although it never did anything for me except give me a headache. I personally don't need a boost for STD but I take no issue with anyone who does use it for a slight advantage. What I do take issue with is the cheating that's clearly happening and Wooga won't do anything about it. So one of my teammates said something the other day that resonated with me. She said she thought these teams could actually be bots that Wooga created to win in order to drive up sales of their diamonds. I mean, it makes sense. They are getting huge; I actually saw a commercial about the game the other day. So they are now big enough to put ads on TV. The other thing I noticed was that these high scoring teams do not play every game. In about 5 games they will play 3 to 4. When they dont play, we get our 1st and 2nd place spot back. That also makes me think something is fishy. They don't play every game so not to lose their players from frustration. But give them that little boost of hope so they may think buying diamonds would be advantageous to their game. Wooga makes money from the sale of diamonds. This is a big win for Wooga. And to the player that said they wouldn't earn that much money from the sale of diamonds, let me put that in perspective...lets say most people won't pay the $99 for the largest bundle of diamonds but would be willing to drop a 20 spot for a bunch. Lets say, for the sake of argument that out of the 10m downloads that Google play claims for this game that only 10% buy diamonds. To keep the math easy on me lets say that 10% buys the $20 package..that, my friends, is $2m!! That's not chump change. What if those same people buy on a weekly or even monthly basis? Ugh to be able to have a small percentage of that revenue and I could retire! So, all that being said, do I feel this is a ploy by Wooga to earn more money? Absolutely I do! The question is what do we do about it? We have options, for sure. We can delete our downloads but we have built communities in our teams. My team comes from all walks of life and, in my opinion, are my friends. I don't want to lose that friendship over a greedy company. Option 2 just play the games and deal with it. I don't like that either because it gets frustrating when you could be expanding your game instead of saving for the comps just to lose to bots. Then the last option we have come up with is a massive "sit out" where we get as many teams as possible to have an organized sit out of either a particular game or a select number of games. For this to be effective we have to have a large portion of teams to join before this could even be effective. They would not notice one or two teams. But have only the bots playing, they would notice. The key is to get any team that feels the same way to join and stick with it. Only then will Wooga come clean. If you contact them they will say there is no cheating going on and that the complainants are being "out played ".... their words. Really? If that was the case it would not be a hit and miss as I've previously stated. I'm trying to post on any and all gaming formats to get the word out what we feel is going on with Wooga's Junes Journeys. I will leave you with these thoughts: This is a great game that I personally have enjoyed. I was able to start a team and meet awesome people from around the world and I like to think we are friends. I dont want to risk losing these comrades because of a game developer being greedy. Think about this and decide for yourselves if a mass boycott would at least send a message to Wooga that WE SEE THEM.
We don’t know what we did to get the timer to increase with every play. Was it a bug or is there a hidden way to do this?
Wooga supports ME.
ME = fast usage of Energy
Friend is level 800+ and uses over 800 energy each event without buying energy.
Still scores are somewhat low as no ME.
So ME users must be using 12-1500 energy - how can you even generate that without making PURCHASES?
Hence - Purchases for energy = profit = ME good for Wooga - hence Screw everyone else.
Wooga are in it for money and nothing else - they'll milk this all they can unless they see people stopping playing and leaving the game.
I wrote to the the game developers and received some bs answer with lots of excuses but no solution. They don’t seem to have any issues with players using Magic Eye so that’s pretty much it. Those of us who want to play FAIR, are at a disadvantage when it comes to those who think this Magic Eye thing is not considered cheating! While I understand that it is something that anyone “supposedly “ can “train” their eyes to do, I for one, can’t! My eyes are bad enough as it is without looking for ways to damage them even more!
To me, fair play is when everyone has the SAME advantages.....without using any TRICKS!
Group all the cheaters together and group all legitimate players against each other…it’s not a hard concept!
I’m new to JJ and only have 175 scenes finished. I do not belong to a team or join others on fb.
It’s upsetting that scores are inflated and that I will never be at the top of a leader board nor get as many diamonds, money or as much energy because I want to play fairly and enjoy the challenge-
I also find it hilarious that people buy their success by purchasing diamonds, energy, boxes, and more $$. What happened to playing a game for the challenge? If you know that you cheated and bought your standing then isn’t that a hollow win?..
MagicEye is cheating. Wooga needs to come out and say that. Wooga's long-time players are smart enough to weigh the cost of energy versus prize competing against MagicEye players and will no longer expand monies on energy, hitting Wooga in the pocketbook. Play fair. You say MagicEye is being encouraged to use by Wooga - then make MagicEye-only teams where they can play all together crossing their eyes for a straight 45 minutes for a couple of pink boxes. Hope their eyes don't stay that way.
Last competition, top team had almost 70M total, so 5M seems like nothing, wooga will never fix this, not smart enough.
Wooga should make the StD frames vertical, not horizontal. One frame above the other, not side by side
Just to add my opinion here. I don’t think that ME is cheating, some people do it without even noticing. There is no way to control it either. It would be like saying being young and agile should be banned, certainly those in my team who are a lot younger than I am, score a lot higher.
As for saying wooga are only in it for the money well, why else would they develop a game and employ people to manage it etc? It is a business like any other.
If some people wish to send real money on virtual items then that’s up to them, evidently it improves their enjoyment of the game or they wouldn’t do it.
Yes, it is possible if you know how to use Magic Eye. Magic Eye is something that has been around for a long time. It gives you the ability to cross your eyes slightly while looking at 2 side by side images, once the middle image becomes the clear image you see, relax your eyes a bit and it will zero your sight on that image. the objects will look holographic.
ME is NOT cheating, it is a skill and anyone can learn to do it.
Good luck!
I totally agree and so do many of my clubs me,bets. We often opt out of the competition because of this.
There are many players with Magic Eye ability, and more are learning the technique daily. Wooga actually encourages it.
No cheaters. Just quick ME players.
It takes me about 5 seconds to complete a game, 2-3 minutes to complete a scene. So I can score 3M, 4M sometimes 5M (in a 1h game). We have an active coffee-sharing club. I don't spend money at all.
If you cross your eyes and practice, you'll get there.
With the STD on 1/25/22, we noticed one team advancing rapidly. We were in 1st place. We counted SIXTEEN players on the team with THREE unable to play. They posted 14/14 of players playing. The math does not work. We are considering avoiding STDs.
Make a list of cheating teams, and don’t play when they are on.
Wooga is ignoring the issue of cheating because the cheaters are using overlay apps and bots that don't interfere with their engine. Wooga can't do anything about it except eliminate competitions. If they do that, JJ will be just another seek and find game.
I agree if it is so easy to do this why have the competitions at all because it truly is not fair. I save for days energy give it my all and for what you cannot compete when one player scores 800.000 in 30 minutes.
Our team used to always be top 5 then it started with "teams" with no team names or players scoring outrageous scores in allotted time. I can get in spot the difference to scene 3 going really fast and scoring pretty well with only missing 2 maybe 3. Then you start seeing numbers doubled and tripled and your team goes from 2nd to 3rd and sometimes it's so bad with these teams, we end up 9th. This just started in the last few weeks...I don't know my team players but we do chat and talk about how ridiculous this has become with bots! I wish theyd go through and rid these accounts..it frustrates the rest that are spending all our energy to receive nothing as rewards. But 200 coins
Cheaters cheat. For example, more than 1 million points for a Spot the Difference (SD) competition is impossible. I believe cheaters stop the internal clock to cheat time limit.
