You might have surpassed everyone in your friend boat or your game might have disconnected from Facebook. There's also an issue that Wooga just addressed today (Aug 28, 2020):

"There is an ongoing investigation into players missing friends from Facebook.

This seems to be caused by a change from Facebook and we are waiting to hear back from them to address this issue. We apologize for the delay and will have more information for you once we work with their developers."
