Is there a limit of items that can be stored on the boat?

The storage boat is unlimited. Store as much as you want. But the Flower value of your island will go down, such that you'll need more Flowers to reach the next level. Just put them back on the island if you need their Flower value. You can store everything except coin-producing buildings, landmarks and gifted bushes.
