I think it’s when we upgrade a building or with Jack’s delivery. I will know for sure in 8 hours when I can upgrade again. lol

I agree. There are no new buildings for me to upgrade. I have also cleared out my 3 islands and Wooga's response in to just sell my existing decorations and put different stuff down. How about another Island

A fourth island is coming the latter part of July.

Your only options are

1. spend the materials to upgrade a building,

2. spend the materials to send Jack's plane on a delivery,

3. switch the task for another, using the red X, which can only be used once daily on any one task.

Soon there will more opportunities to switch the task for diamonds. First switch per day is still free.

This kinda bites since it’s new once all the buildings are upgraded.

This game is losing its appeal already. Collect tips, use materials when you have all your buildings. I like they are changing it up, but lets get realistic here. Might be time to fund another game
