I have completed volume 2 and opened 3 but I have no new island to play on. Orchid is overflowing and must have 75 compasses. What do I do next?

Your only recourse is to replace low-flower decoration with high-flower decoration. This will allow you to progress in the game, give you more star boxes, and maybe even some compasses. The more decoration of high-flower value, the further you can get in the game.
