After we play a scene, can we skip the bells and whistles and skip watching the rewards add up for the move we just made, or do we need to watch it every time in order to receive all of the awards? I know we can skip during timed competitions, but what about during regular game playing?

Yes, just tap the screen to skip, you'll still get all the rewards.
