How do you open the fire hose cabinet in the ferris wheel scene? It won't let me break the glass with the mallet.

Get transformer instructions
Approach transformer
Get 3 wires
Connect red, yellow, and blue wires to 3rd, 4th, and 6th slots, respectively
Flip the lever up to turn on lights
Get mallet
Use mallet on fire hose box
Get axe
Use axe on banner rope
Get banner
