At the end of chapter 47 how do I attach the rope to the beam?

At the end of chapter 47 how do I attach the rope to the beam? I have tried to drag it from the pulley, can’t seem to get it to move!

Chapter 47 - Stables
Get pitchfork
Use pitchfork to move haystacks
Get sledgehammer
Use sledgehammer to break trough
Remove planks from trunk
Open trunk
Get rope from trunk
String rope into the pulley
Tie end of rope to the beans
Pull rope to move beams
(When trying to move the rope, make sure you pick up the end of rope from your inventory circle and not the rope in the scene.)

The rope comes out of the box in a round bundle. There is no way to grab the end of the rope. I tried moving the rope to the beams and to the pulley but the ends of the rope are out of the scene. 0 0 REPORT
