Nothing, there is no game benefit. The portrait will allow you to use change your avatar to that character, which is visible mainly to other non-Facebook players.

Wow, that sucks, I wonder if the other expensive drinks have more energy than coffee, since I obviously don't want to buy portraits, obviously 5 star boxes are nice, but the energy thing is nicer 2 3 REPORT

No, the fancy drinks have no game benefit. They are just cosmetic and will give the same amount of energy as your coffee drink. Energy upgrade is best, since it helps everyone on the team. The 5-star boxes are only for yourself.Guest Replied
That sucks ☹️. I wish I had understood before I wasted resources. Guest Replied
Well that does suck. I just wasted my tips. Guest Replied
So there isn't a point then, how stupid. Why is it featured on here then?Guest Replied
I purchased a portrait thinking it would be like the puzzles and would get energy from it. UghGuest Replied
Two others concur.Guest Replied
Thanks for the info, I googled it and found this,Guest Replied
This is ridiculous. Why don’t they tell you the portraits don’t get added to the book in the estate?! I wouldn’t have wasted all those tips! I would have saved them up for the star box... or does the star box do nothing too?Ms. Tearius Replied
Star box gives you one 5-star pink box. Just you, no other teammates.Guest Replied
What does the energy upgrade give you?Ms. Tearius Replied
Each energy upgrade will give 1 energy increase to your drink, until your reach max of 15. Every time you serve that drink, everyone who drinks it (including yourself) will get that increased energy.Guest Replied
Anybody wanna buy an Eddie portrait Guest Replied
This is disappointing. I guess I should not waste my time with this game Guest Replied
I agree it sure should give something the point of playing is to create challenges that makes us want to play ... wasting resources on something that does not benefit the player is a poor development option for a good game.Guest Replied
What are the hints for?Guest Replied
Team challenges only. Guest Replied
A portrait gives you more energy. It does when I collect them. Ms. Tearius Replied
I just tested and confirmed that there has been no change. The portraits that you purchase in the tip token store are only for changing your avatar look, and you get no energy or game benefit when you purchase them. Guest Replied
Wrong I just purchased an Eddie portrait and got an iced coffee drink!!!Guest Replied
What does the portrait look like where is is?Guest Replied
What about when you purchase a portrait with dejavu tokens? I purchased Mr. Talbot for 70 tokens and it doesn't seem to have given me anything.Guest Replied
Same here. This is dumb if it gives you nothing. I was expecting a puzzle. Guest Replied
Wish I would have found this before I wasted my tokens. Guest Replied
Ugh. Me too.Guest Replied
Me too Ugh!Guest Replied
Sorry for your luck, but your experience has helped me not to make the same mistake.Guest Replied
I was saving up for a big ticket item and squandered it on worthless portraits?,!!! Like forgeries?!! The deceit! The trickery! It’s abominable!,! We’re all suckers here. Guest Answered:
The point is that it gives you game status and kudos. It's part of the enjoyment of the game.
