PLEASE make it possible to rotate arches, fences, buildings, etc. It would make it easier to design my island. Please offer curved railroad tracks

I would love to be able to rotate objects on my island so for instance I can put my road leading up to my orangerie and the road match the entrance, not on the side. It looks odd if the road or path isn’t centered. Please

The level crossing drives me mad. My roads/tracks often look ridiculous because the are the wrong way around. It makes planning difficult because there is no alternative for crossing paths from a certain direction.

I totally agree with this I find it’s the same with rivers have no where to flow to but in a some sort of circle for example. Paths and most hedges but one don’t turn. But on pearls peril the option is there and you can buy gates which aren’t featured so far on Junes journey.

Simple answer is you dont. Some shift like roads or pathways, but most do not rotate.

Then why are there arrows pointing in four different directions when you select an item?

Yes! Offering an alternative option of structures oriented the other way would be excellent!! It causes one to sacrifice ‘currencies’ to purchase something that won’t ever fit in their design. Some layouts one has already in place would be HELLA impossible to rearrange to fit the rigid orientation of the desired structure.

Yes, rotatable objects please! I cannot even make a bridge over my waterway now because the bridge is turned the wrong way!

When I want to move something I put the item where I want to move something to into storage. I then move the item I wanted to change to that now open spot. Then if I am just swapping places I will take the item I just put in storage back out and place it in the other spot that is now empty. You just have to realize that if you leave something in storage you lose the flowers for that item until it is returned to the game. If you have open room on your board you can use the same process without having to put things in storage.

Most pieces cannot be rotated. Some paths and fences will turn when you join them together.

No, developers say they will not make them rotatable, which doubles their work.

This is really frustrating because it makes it much harder to design the layout. Corner elements, gates, etc. often don’t work where you want them to go because they are facing the wrong way. This us a fun game - but designers saying they won’t make things rotatable because it is more work for them is just nonsense. It isn’t that hard to code. That’s just a bit of laziness.

It isn't just coding. Because of the shadows, they require a complete separate set of artistry.

OK, so why not make similar pieces (EG an archway) facing in a different direction, thus providing an alternative? And why are there no gates?

Perhaps they shouldn't show them on the postcards rotated in different directions then either. That is very misleading. For instance in the Alpine group postcard advertisement you will see several of the different tiles used going in different directions. It is a very nice arrangement. Too bad it is not possible to make :(.
