Last Updated:

Idle Angels is an Idle-RPG where you can collect and form a combat party with attractive heroines to defeat various enemies, bosses, and other game content. Once you have a good team, you can create a lineup. There are various considerations that can be made to make your lineup more effective, ranging from positioning, the type of classes, and the relationship of the angels you’ll deploy together in a team. In our Angels Lineup, we will discuss said considerations and help you create an effective lineup.

Overview

You can find your lineup in the Battle menu, on the lower-left side. Initially, you can only have six angels total in a lineup. As you progress later in the game, you’ll be able to have six more substitute slots. The six angels in the lineup will be the active combatants. If they fall in battle, one or more of the substitute angels will fill in their spots automatically. The substitute angels will keep replacing the fallen allies in the main team until the battle ends in victory or defeat.

The main character is ALWAYS part of the lineup. You can move her from one position or the other but she can’t be removed from the lineup. That said, you have no choice but to keep improving her so she can keep up with your other units.

In the formation, slots 1-3 are the front row, while the rest are the back rows. When units are dealing normal attacks, they’ll prioritize the front row units first. That’s why you should put Warrior-type units in the front row. The main character is a Warrior so you only need to find two other warriors to hold the frontline position. You can still put other classes on the front line but don’t expect them to take on damage as effectively as warriors. For attack skills, the targeting will depend on the skill’s description and properties.

The order of attacks will also depend on the characters’ position in the formation. So the characters in slot 1 will attack first and the one in slot 6 will attack last. During the battle, if two opposing angels have the same serial or ID, the one with the higher speed will attack first. Finally, if players can’t end the match in 30 rounds, the last player who attacked will be defeated.

Inheritance

This is the process of automatically transferring the training materials, gems, and artifacts from one angel to another when moving them to the lineup. For example, both Angel 1 (LV80) and Angel 2 (LV2) are in the roster but not part of the lineup yet. If you move Angel 2 to the lineup, you’ll get a prompt if you want to inherit the level, equipment etc. Doing so will reset Angel 1’s stats to default and Angel 2 will inherit almost everything the former angel has.

Fate and Magic Circle

Fate are bonuses that get activated when you deploy certain angels together in the same team. Even the substitute lineup can contribute and receive the bonus attributes of the Fate effect. To see which fates are active and what are the other requirements needed to activate further fate effects, simply tap the Fate button in the top-left corner of the home screen. Above Fate is the button called “Magic Circle”. This system provides additional attribute bonuses depending on the number of angels who survive at the end of battle.

Combat Advantage

The game has a system similar to rock-paper-scissors where one class can deal more damage and receive less damage to other classes. The combat advantage is as follows:

* Warrior > Archer

* Archer > Mage

* Mage > Warrior

The class with the advantage will deal 20% more damage and will receive 10% lesser damage when facing the class they’re strong against. The damage output and reduction is normal when facing enemies of the same class. In the example above, warrior-type angels deal 20% more damage against archer-type enemies. At the same time, warrior-type angels will receive 10% less damage against archer enemies. However, since mages are strong against warriors, a warrior-type angel attacking a mage-type enemy will see their damage lessened by 10% instead.
