More Doomsday: Last Survivors
The Headquarters is your most important building and what dictates your level in the game. Getting your headquarters to level 25 as quickly as possible should be the aim of any serious player of Doomsday: Last Survivors.
However you'll want to get to level 25 as efficiently as possible and ideally without spending any cash. One thing that you should do in order to help with upgrades is to join an alliance (Joining an Alliance) this brings a number of benefits, including helping with construction times

As you can see from the table above, increasing the level of your Headquarters will increase your power in the game, but more importantly allow you to send more squads out at the same time. Unlocking those extra queues are really important milestones in this game and others of the same genre as it allows you to do more things at the same time and also you become much stronger in attack as you can sent out more units at the same time.
However getting your Headquarters to level 25 is not always so easy as you'll also be needing to upgrade all of the other buildings in your base too as pre-requisites to allowing you to make certain upgrades.
Unlocking New Buildings
Each time you upgrade your headquarters to a new level you will also then be able to upgrade your other buildings to that new headquarter level. You may also unlock new buildings too or more instances of existing buildings. Tap the Headquarters, then Overview to see what buildings become unlocked at each level.
As soon as these new buildings become available, they should be on your list to be build right away.
Headquarter Skins
Check the Headquarters in your game and then tap Skins here you can apply other skins to your shelter, squad and tag which will change it's appearance and also in some cases give a buff which could be improved defense attack or gathering for example.
