Get Ready to Shoot 'em Up in .Decluster - into the Bullet Hell

If you have come here today in search of mass destruction mixed with a bit of chaos, you are in the right place. In his premier App Store shmup title, MASAYUKI ITO puts players at the helm of an 8-bit spaceship set on course for imminent disater.

The game costs $3.79 and this low, low price awards gamers a totally ad-free and microtransaction-free space exploding adventure.

The gameplay is about as basic as a "bullet hell" can get, and if you were surprised to discover this app to be of that genre, you should try to pay more attention. You will play as the sole pilot of a constantly firing starship with the express mission of eradicating the bad guys. Your only weapons in this melee are your reflexes and a laser gun that temporarily clears the enemy bullets from the screen.

The game offers a selection of courses, a good handful of control customizations as well as a choice in difficulty settings, which will keep you coming back to get your money's worth.

The graphics are animated in a very simple 8-bit retro arcade style and are accompanied by a distinctively funky electronica-inspired background tune. The graphics take a bit of getting used to, as the objects that kill you and the ones that earn you points look generally the same when they are whizzing by.

Overall, if you are a fan of arcade-styles or shoot 'em ups, just get this game. You will love it. It is a solid title that, aside from a few glitchy spots when played on a three-year-old iPad Mini, handled well and kept me playing for way longer than I had the time to play.

We gave the game 4.5 out of 5 stars for being really neat with a few app crashes in the middle of a run.
