Adventure Escape: Vanishing Act - Chapter 2 Walkthrough

Adventure Escape: Vanishing Act is an escape room puzzle game, part of the series of Adventure Escape Mysteries from Haiku Games featuring Detective Kate Gray.

After discovering that Aaron has been targeted in a bid to seal his identity in Chapter 1 you are now searching for the Magician Gail who has Vanished. In Chapter 2 You head to the the Smoke & Mirrors night club to look for her.

Chapter 2 Walkthrough

After trying to talk to the Bouncer you need to show him the Membership card. He then asks to see the Trick.

Talk to the woman playing the saxophone by the fountain, she offers to help you if you get her a cherry cola.

Open the case on the ground next to her and collect the Oil.

Now open a large cabinet door on the building on the right below the balcony. Inside is a rusted water valve. Use the Oil on it.

Tap the valve now to turn off the water to the fountain. Now view the fountain again and collect some coins.

Next view the vending machine on the left. Use the coins on it and then select the code for Cherry Cola.

Cherry Cola Code

• The code is missing so you need to work it out from the others.
• Row 1 the numbers increase by 1. 101, 102 103
• Row 2 the numbers increase by 2. 106, 108 110
• Row 3 the numbers increase by 3. 115 118 121

Solution:

Return to the musician and give her the drink. She tells you that you need to pull a a bird out of a hat to get into the club.

Talk to the old lady who tells you to be quiet. She will give you Bird seed.

Use the bird seed on the ground to attract some pigeons from the balcony on the right. You can then open the window above the balcony and collect a Hat.

Use the hat on the pigeons to catch one. You get the Pigeon in a hat. Now you can show this to the Bouncer and he will let you into the club.

Inside you find Harry and talk to him, he says that Gail is in the VIP area. Then he leaves.

Star: on the candle on the table Harry was at.

First tap the red curtain on the right to open it. Then view the door to the VIP area to see the card scanner.

Try the Membership card on this, you get the Heart symbol but you need 3 more cards.

Then talk to the Diamond Magician sitting at the back right table.

Cards Puzzle

• Start from the 2 on the lower left.
• Then move by tapping an adjacent card that has the same number or suit.
• You need to follow a path through the cards to collect them all and finish with the Queen of hearts.

Once complete you will collect the Diamond Card.

Now tap on the Club Magician at the bar. He will let you borrow his card if you get him a drink.

Next talk to the bartender. You need to distract him so you can get the drink.

Collect 3 napkins that are on the floor and on the table that Harry was at. Next head to the stage on the left. Collect 2 more Napkins from the table on the lower left.

Talk to the Nervous Magician sitting on the left. She needs a wand.

And then talk to the Spade Magician sitting on the right. He won't lend you his card without seeing you perform.

Open the door to the toilet on the right of the stage.

Star: inside the bathroom on the mirror.

Use the 5 napkins on the toilet to block it. The bartender will then come to deal with this. Collect the Keys from the bartender's belt.

Use the keys on the locked cabinet on the left wall to open it. Collect the Wand.

Now give the wand to the nervous magician who will then proceed to the stage.

When the man gets up, collect the Cocktail menu from his table and then examine his briefcase on the floor. You cannot open it yet but remember the name.

Return to the bar. You now need to mix a drink. It needs to be Bubbly with two shots of liquor , you also need to use 4 total measures of liquid.

Look at the cocktail menu to find a drink that matches these specifications.

Hint: It will need to have either Cola or Ginger Ale for the bubbles and exactly 2 parts of liquor

To make the drink.

• Tap the Rum and then the Rum, again. Then tap the OJ and the Ginger Ale.
• Then select the Tall glass as this is what the customer had before
• And add Ice as it is shown on the menu and a slide of lime (green) again as the customer had it before.

When he falls asleep view his pockets and collect the bag of Tokens, the Club Card and then view the Phone.

Unlock this to see a conversation with Atticus Trevarrow the Spade Magician. You learn his birthday.

Next View the Star Sign card that is also on the table. From this we learn that Atticus is a Pisces. Remember the symbol.

Return to the Stage area, on the left of Atticus is a fortune telling machine.

Add a token to it from the bag and then press the button for Pisces to read the fortune message.

You can also get the other fortune cards including those for both Kate (Virgo) and Murphy (Taurus).

Now check Atticus' briefcase again. We can now use the clues to get the code to open the case.

Collect the Spade Card from the case.

Return to the VIP room door and use the 3 cards. This then starts a puzzle

Re-calibration Puzzle

Select a symbol on the top right and then use them to fill in the tiles on the left.

Arrange the symbols in 'eye shapes'.

These are diamond shapes (rotated squares) with a different symbol in the center.

The door is now unlocked. Enter the VIP room.
