Adventure Escape: Vanishing Act - Chapter 1 Walkthrough

Adventure Escape: Vanishing Act is an escape room puzzle game, part of the series of Adventure Escape Mysteries from Haiku Games featuring Detective Kate Gray.

Chapter 1 opens with Kate Gray and Aaron Murphy enjoying an evening at a magic Shoe with Gail the Great. But after Aaron becomes part of the show and then his wallet goes missing they look for it on the stage.

Chapter 1 Walkthrough

Following the tutorial instructions, tap to talk to Harry. Then examine the poster.

Open the black box on the right and collect a Magicians Cane. You can then use this to pull down a ladder on the gantry above the boxes.

Aaron turn on the spotlight so that you can see into the back of the stage area. Tap on the chest to view it, it has a 4 digit code lock.

Star: Collect the star that is above the chest in the spotlight beam.

The clue to unlock the chest it is the 4 card symbols.

Look around in the opened chest, collect the Box cutter and then Murphy's wallet.

The Drivers license has gone.

Use the Wallet on Harry to talk to him again. You then need to find Gail in the dressing room. Tap the red curtain on the right to move it, Gail doesn't let you in and Harry disappears.

Collect a Wheel from the floor to the left of the dressing room door.

Then add this wheel to the large 'Magic Show' Board on the left. You can then roll the board away to find a large moon prop on a rope.

Use the Box cutter on the rope connected to the sandbag, this will make the moon fall. You can then access a cabinet on the wall behind it. Open it and collect the Drawer Key.

Now use the Key on the small table with the vase of flowers. Collect the Screwdriver from the drawer.

Next use the screwdriver on the vent cover that is on the gantry above the 'Gail' Poster. Then tap it to enter the vent.

Vent Maze Puzzle

• Select a character and use the arrows to move them in the maze.
• There are colored fan gates blocking your path but you can move a character to a button to open that color gates for the other person to pass.
• Move both of the characters around the maze to reach the green squares on the lower right.

After completing the first maze you have a second more complicated puzzle.

Then you arrive in the dressing room.

First view the notice board to see a note stuck with a dagger. Collect the Dagger.

Then Open the drawers and doors on the dressing table to collect a Gold Mask and a Green Wig.

Star: In the top right drawer.

Now move the cushion on the red sofa and collect a Magician Token.

Next use the dagger on the small pocket of the clothing on the mannequin on the left. You can then collect a Desk Key.

Use this on the locked drawer on the left to open it and collect a Tablet and a Heart Pendant.

Use the Heart pendant on the blue box on the left to open it and collect Makeup and a Black Mask.

Now view the mirror, there are smudges on it.

Use the Makeup on it to find a clue.

Now place the Tablet on the stand on the dressing table, this will plug it in. Now you can view it.

Use a clue above to unlock it.

After reading the messages from Elias Legrand, switch to the photos app and examine the 4 photos. These are a clue.

Finally switch to the Remote Lock app (padlock icon) and tap the Unlock All Button.

This opens an escape hatch in the floor. Collect a Red Wig from here.

Now view the 4 heads on the dressing table. Place the 2 wigs and the 2 masks on to them to start a puzzle.

Mannequin heads puzzle

• Tap pairs of masks or pairs of wigs to swap their positions.
• Match up the correct mask and wig for each head in the right order.
• The clue is the photos on the tablet.

Follow the pairings in the photos and use the photo dates to get the order.[

Once done collect another Magician Token from the mouth of the head on the right.

Now look in the opened trap door on the floor again to see another puzzle.

Trap Door Puzzle

• Add the 2 magician tokens to it to start
• There are 3 colored circles and 3 different colors of tokens.
• Use the orange buttons to swap there around the board and arrange the tokens into the matching colored circles.

This opens the trap door to some tunnels.

View the membership card for information on Smoke & Mirrors. You collect the Heart Card.

Now you need to head to Smoke & Mirrors to continue the investigation.
