How do I make my pup go through the different levels? I want to be able to make a bigger family but I don't understand

Feed your pup to make it grow, if you want more family members keep going up levels.

Leave ur mate in the den with the pup. Then hunt a rabbit or something else small, then after you kill it, keep scratching at it to pick it up. Then carry it back. To your den and ur pup will eat it and gain exp
