How come is it that I am a wolf?

I'm not really sure why all of us start out playing as a wolf, but as you get gems (the green diamonds) you can get those from completing achievements, and unlock other animals, like the fox, which only costs 20 diamonds. Animals at the end of the list (bottom of the screen) cost more. Hope this helps you, have a good day and stay safe from COVID-19 ;)
