When I make a new family with my baby wolf does it leave my main family?

Ok so I have never got to actually do a family tree myself, so I might be wrong, but if you take a child from you're first family it will leave that family.

Also you might already know this but to create a new family you must have a child 50+ LVL to creat and you also need to have unlocked it already.
