You pick up food for your Baby by pressing the attack button by a SMALL animals body

Yes you do pick up animals by pressing the attack button but you can only do that when you are playing as an adult wolf or animal not a baby animal or wolf.

You can only bring your pup or cub animals that are small- including: bunnies, skunk, squirrels. But what you do is after you kill it go near it hit the attack button and the animal will pick it up.
