I play the game on mobile and so hopefullythis still helps. Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it? Make sure you have your login info and the recovery key to log back in after reinstalling. You can back up your game and get the recovery key via the compass in the upper left hand corner (write it down).

If you're playing online: you could try a different browser (Firefox, Google chrome, etc.) or clear your cookies/cache. again, I don't play the online/browser version so this may not be correct.
