How do you kill another animal?

Run towards an animal, and press the attack button. If it attacks you, I usually run away, run back, attack, then run away again. Keep doing this until the animal is killed.

You go up to it and when you see the icon for said animal and go closer and press the button that has 3 scratch marks on it and attack it. I might attack you or run away. My strategy is to run around in circles ( if it chases me after I hit it ) and hit it occasionally. If you have mates and cubs they will attack it once you hit it. I hope this helps!
