How do I make a family even though I have 1 cub?

IF it is the starter, just level it to level 5 to search for a mate. Then, level both to 10. Get EXP for the pregnancy. After, sleep, and the cub will be born. If you and mate are all level 60 with no cubs, you’re gonna have a baby apocalypse! If you already have a cub, Just level him to 10, to start a new family.
