How do you fill the bar when you are pregnant?

Your mate will gain experience when/if you kill animals near them. It's recommended that you kill bosses, as they yield the most experience, but you can also feed your mate by bringing them food. This is usually a very slow method.

You get your mate to kill animals then let your female character eat the animal. If you keep doing that then the bar will be full eventually.
