Secret Easter Eggs in Polytopia
The Battle of Polytopia Guide
At the time of writing there are 5 known hidden features in The Battle for Polytopia. These features are fun additions that add little surprises to the game. If you find any more hidden gems in the game that almost probably aren't bugs then please let us know in the comments below.
Floating/Sinking City
In your world you will start with one city and will be able to capture and upgrade others as you go. For a fun diversion you can make the tile of a city float into the sky or sink into the ground. To get the city to float or sink alternate tapping between the bottom left and bottom right tiles of a city. If you start first with the bottom left, the city will start to rise out of the ground, but if you start on the right, it will sink. keep tapping as much as you want to slowly change the elevation.
Unfortunately raising or lowering he city does not stop enemies from attacking / capturing it and it will reset to its normal position at the end of the turn or if you perform actions for it such as train units.
The Nature bunny is a single player enemy character hat you can choose to spawn into the world. We have a quick guide to spawning this character at 'How to spawn a Nature Bunny
Sunrise
The game screen when paying will have a dark and star dotted appearance but if you fancy a change you can make the sun rise. Tap and hold the background for around 15 seconds and a warm pink / yellow glow will fade into view. This will also unlock an achievement for you.
Game Names
When you create a multiplayer game you can choose to reset the name displayed by tapping the name again which will cause it to randomly generate a new name from presets. If you tap enough times however, the set of words will change to give you some more unique and interesting alternatives. Don;t settle for 'The Lands of Kings' When you can be 'Drunken Squirrel' or 'The Moody Spaghetti'.
Give it a go and see what you can end up with.
Luxidoor Random Spawns
Finally this is known issue where Luxidoor can spawn occasionally in your game even for when you do not own this tribe. The rate of occurrence of this is unknown but it has been described as a feature of the game that the Luxidoor tribe are explorers in the land so it is included as an Easter Egg feature in the list.
