What Are Food Souls?

The heroes in the game are known as Food Souls, these the are guys that will be doing your fighting in the game, our Tale of Food Tier List drops you the best info on who we think are the best food souls in the game. You get Food Souls from Soul Embers or by summoning them if you can.

At the beginning of the game, you wont get all of the best Food Souls, so whoever you get, just upgrade them because the first thing you need to do is to get through the initial levels of the game, and to do that you need to spend the resources that the game gives you on upgrading your team.

Obviously it's best to give priority to upgrading your best characters first, but saying that, once you have your full team assembled, it is best that you upgrade the whole team, just allocate a bit more however to your best Food Souls.

Bonding System Explained

There is a bonding feature in the which represents the strength of the relationship between you and your Food Souls. You should level up the level of affection to your food souls, especially your best ones. This will help to unlock some of the special side stories in the game which bring about more opportunities to get items and other in-game rewards. So it's kind of like an investment, you upgrade the affection level in order to unlock more of the game and unlock opportunities to get more cool stuff in the game.

Improve Skill Level of your Heroes

Skills are the attacks that your food souls have, it's important that you upgrade these in order to get through the game, even if you don't plan on a particular food soul being part of your main team forever, you should still allocate some resources to upgrade their skills just to help you temporarily in the game until you are able to unlock better characters.
