What to upgrade first?

There are loads of things to upgrade. The chef, when you see the bubble above his head with a number in it, will tell you he is available for an upgrade. It's a good idea to make the upgrade when you can as he'll be making more expensive dishes after upgrading.

Also, look out for the three items at the bottom of the screen, speed, price and seats, you should be upgrading all three of these as much as you can and as early as you can as it will affect the whole restaurant and it's profitability.
