The Stormshot ads highlight the occasional Sharpshooter segments where you try to shoot a pirate or save a hostage with fancy trick shots, but the game is mostly about upgrading things. Apparently this is a reskin of another game, Guns of Glory. Within a frame story about landing your ship on an island full of ghost pirates and Atlanteans, you are building out an estate, with armies, buildings, mining resources, researching, managing heroes -- everything needs to be leveled up, constantly, to improve something by 1%. You join an alliance. Other players can attack and sort-of-destroy your estate while you sleep at night. This manifests as soldier casualties (which you can mostly cure), and stolen resources. Each level up increases the time and resources to build, so...giant time suck? But like many free-to-play games, you can buy speedups, resources, power and prestige with real money, so it could become a giant money suck instead. (Pay to win!) But F2P players don't need to buy speedups or resources -- earning them is not hard. And unlike old F2P games like Evony, there are many aspects -- ghost pirates, mermaids, heroes, battles, quests, mini-games, puzzles, gear, holiday themes, as well as a zillion KINDS of upgrade. You might train yourself to click on anything with a red dot, to get free stuff. No in-game control to exit? Just close the window, or ALT-TAB back to Steam to click STOP.

I really like this game. I am in a really fun alliance. But the game is very glitchy at times

Great having lots of fun especially after changing Alliance

It is a fine game even though there are no directions for it. The only way to find out what to do is ask Alliance members or search on the internet. Higher levels need many many resources and may make you want to give them actual money - your choice. Otherwise it's a nice time waster.

The game itself is a kind of dull, but if you are in an alliance which has good chatting, it is fun.

It keeps you wanting to go back to it so yes I like the game.

Great game if I knew what I was doing and how to play it properly, instead of just clicking on everything and hoping for the best lol!

For the most part it is good. The developers are always coming up with promotions that incur a high price tag that most people are not willing to spend. Kong for instance. In order to get it at all you need to spend money, in order to get it with nice states you have to pay even more. Opting for the first there isn't a lot of ways to get more material for Kong like during alliance vs alliance or kvk.

I do give them credit that during June and July 2023 they really stepped up their game with more activities.

Love it, except for the locked builder thing... Now I can build only one building at a time.

Fun game but if you want to progress, it’s a total money sink

It’s good until so someone bigger comes along and steals all your resources… and kicks sand in your face.

Great game play enjoy working with alliance and neat warriors

So far so good. Seems like limitations to development and advancement are controlled by gimicky "upgrade" ads for actual cash. Game is okay, some parts are less intuitive on how to develop characters with caps and such.

Not enough tuition but the content is good.
