How many defeat does it take during a Specter Raid to stop attacks on your Castle?

Once you have failed to defeat the incoming specters twice ( (ie) killed less than 50 % ) no more attacks will be made, the last wave (level 20) generally attacks the alliance stronghold, so, it needs reinforcing, ready for the attack.
