Food is depleting faster than I can add, how do I find quicker food source?

When your off the game ie:in bed, send your troops to garrison an alliance building? (You can only garrison one building!) And send the rest to camp anywhere! Possibly inside the alliance hive or anywhere, while there camping they won't eat the food, the food will still drop but nothing like it does when all troops are inside the base and idle! That way you keep more of your food,
