My board is full as is my cupboard. I don’t have enough gems to buy another slot. I’m stuck! Is there a way to delete an item on the board?

Tap on a board item wish to remove to make more space. It gives option in bottom middle box to delete/sell

Puedes darle al objeto y borrarlo, cuanto más se tarde en conseguirlo más dinero te darán por tirarlo a la basura.
