How to get Silicon?

Silicon is a basic resource that is generated directly from a synthesizer. You don't need to do anything, just set up a Synthesizer and ask it to create Silicon.

If that option is not available, then there may still be some research that you need to complete to unlock this ability.

With the synthesized Silicon, just feed it into an exporter to collect it.

The setup in the image below shows the simultaneous generation of Silicon and Glass:

The top belt is taking half of the silicon from the synthesizer and sending it direct to an exporter. The bottom belt is heating the other half of the silicon and heating it to make glass, and sending to an exporter.
