Mommy Long Legs

Mommy Long legs is another of the main characters that you encounter in Poppy Playtime. A friendly toy from Playtime Co. The main enemy in Chapter 2 of the game, Mommy Long legs seems to be in a playful mood and wants you to play games with her. But she is quite a sore loser.

A large spider like creature with 4 limbs, her arms and legs are able to stretch huge distances and can reach down the corridors of Playtime Co. to grab you when you least expect it. Her happy smiling face and playful voice clearly conceal an evil and menacing side that want to play with its food before it devours it.

Where do we meet Mommy Long Legs

As the main antagonist of Chapter 2 we meet her early on as we try to make our way to the Game Station. After taking away the Red Hand she then tells us that she just wants to play some games, and promises us the clues to the Train that we need to escape if we complete her games.

The games it seems are deadly ones and she is on hand to explain the rules each time as well as watch us get killed if we fail. She becomes more frustrated as we win and ends up killing the other minor enemies that she sets against us int he games. The first game is the Memory Game where Bunzo Bunny is lowered towards us to feast on us if we do not succeed. When you compleere the game Mommy Long Legs takes out her frustration by killing Bunzo instead.

The second game is Wack-a-Wuggy against a pack of Mini Huggy Toys. Again when you manage to complete this the poor little *(Evil) Huggy clones bear the brunt of Mommys disappointment.

After the Third game (Statues) is fixed so that you cannot escape but you do find a way out, she accuses you of cheating (your death) and is now out to get you. You spend the rest of the chapter looking out for her frequent appearances. Initially you can avoid her but then eventually you have to destroy her.

Mommy Long logs does not make any other appearances in the game apart from on some signage and materials around the factory. At least so far anyway.

What do we know about Mommy Long Legs

Mommy Long Legs was originally created as a test of Playtime Co.'s new elastic plastic. Know as Experiment 1222 she was created from the orphan Marie Payne and then subsequently became a motherly figure and protector for the other children in the orphanage.

She was popular with the children which lead Playtime Co. to release a doll of Mommy Long Legs using the elastic plastic in 1991. But she was clearly upset with the children then moving on and forgetting about her.

What happens to Mommy Long Legs

At the close of Chapter 2 you will have to run away from Mommy Long Legs. The chase ends with you managing to trap her in a grinder that crushes part of her body and kills her.

The remaining parts thought are collected by the mysterious had that presumably is related to the Prototype. The code enemy that we have yet to face. Will she still have a part to play in the future chapters of the game?
