Huggy Wuggy

Huggy Wuggy is a one of the most popular characters in the Poppy Playtime fandom due partially we think due to him being the first enemy you come up against in Chapter 1 of the game.

This friendly blue cuddly creature is full of love for everyone and is always ready to give you a hug. Unfortunately since the incident that caused the end of the Playtime Co. enterprise his hugs have now taken on murderous intent.

Where do we see Huggy Wuggy

Huggy Wuggy is the main antagonist in Chapter 1 of the game. You will find promotlional material and other Huggy Wuggy images as you start your journey into the factory and eventually encounter a giant Huggy Wuggy display. This is not what it seems though as the giant Huggy Wuggy then disappears and begins to stalk you through the rest of the chapter.

While Huggy himself does not appear in Chapter 2 you will have to play a mini game with a group of Mini Huggies who are clearly evil toys from the same line as Huggy.

The next main appearance of Huggy Wuggy is in Chapter 3 where you are again chased by an even more frightening version of him during a hallucination sequence after your first encounter with the red smoke. While this isn't the real Huggy and ultimately he doesn't harm you it is still an impressive scare.

Will he return in future chapters of the game? we will have to wait and see.

What do we know about Huggy Wuggy

From the game information revealed so far we know that Huggy Wuggy was created in 1984 by Playtime Co. He became one of the most popular toys of the company. A blue cuddly toy with long arms and legs designed to share love through hugging.

The Huggy Wuggy we encounter was also know as Experiment 1170. Created during the Bigger Bodies experiments he seems to have been tasked with to function as part of the factory's security which is why he appears first when you enter the factory in Chapter 1.

His role and protector of the factory and the smaller toys may be part of his original design or a role given to him by the Prototype following the overthrow of the human workers in the factory.

The company also created a Female version of Huggy Wuggy called Kissy Missy who has also made some appearances in the game so far.

What has happened to Huggy Wuggy

The end of chapter 1 apparently has us defeating Huggy Wuggy. We do not know however that he is gone for good. Could he have been saved by the Prototype or gathered up to be reused in some new fearsome creation.

Even if he is now gone we suspect that there is a good chance the character will pop up again in further episodes of the game. As a popular company mascot and now a clear part of the protagonists nightmares he has a good chance of continuing to scare us in the future.
