How will I be able to purchase pets as there is no options whatsoever (in the android version) to even look at them?

Buy the option with gold from the fotress like you would to unlock classes

The last time I played this, which was I think 2 or 3 years ago, you didn't have to unlock them, just buy them from the shop.
