Chapter 1 - Basement Door Puzzle

This is a guide to solving the door puzzle in the dark steps that takes you to the basement of the museum . This is during Chapter 1 of New York Mysteries 5: Power of Art. You will have already seen the door at the bottom of some darkened steps earlier and used a flashlight to illuminate it.

Before you can solve the puzzle you need to find the clue to the solution. This is found in the security office inside a locked cabinet that you need to use 2 star shapes to open. If you have not found these then check the guide for Chapter 1 to help you.

From here you will collect a 'Picture' which has the clue. you need. Once you have it go to the main museum hall and view the dark doorway on the right.

At the bottom of the steps is the basement door with a the puzzle. View this and add the picture clue so that you can see the required final layout.

Follow the tips below to arrange the colored disks and open the door.

• Slide the colored circles around into the empty spaces on the board.
• Arrange the colors to match those in the picture (i.e. 4 reds in the top left)

Once done the basement door opens and you can enter. Your task in there is to locate a UV lamp, You can check the guide for Chapter 1 to help you with that.
