As others have said it is addicting. And requires a lot of patience or real $$ to amass the energy required to clear obstacles. Yet those "obstacles" yield resources when "harvested". Strategy is very important for profitable play. Many challenges are presented and as a player one should choose wisely. Not every trade or side game is worth the time or resources involved. The graphics are pleasant: nothing too bright or too sharp. Some underground or cave scenes tho are too dark for comfortable viewing.

I downloaded this game through the game store app on my phone.

This game actually has a lot of great potential, good graphics, fun things to build and do. Which is why I tried to play this game twice over a three year span, having uninstalled the game the first time after a few days and giving it a second try just recently. I did pay some money through special introductory offers within the game each time to get started... like a rare $.99 cent deal or $3.99 (A one time purchase for 1500 energy)... just enough to give me a little leg, up as I don't like investing in phone games.

Despite all the articles I have read offering tips and tricks to conserve or gain energy, coins, gems, etc. Despite all the bonuses and gifts you can receive throughout the course of the game... in addition to the introductory kits I bought, It is never enough to cover all the chores, quests and dailies, much more any special challenges you opt to play when they become available... which promises you great prizes for your game use if you complete them before the deadline which is usually lasting a day or two (Some may be a bit longer depending) ... yet your energy runs out before you can finish them to get anywhere. The energy will eventually restore to 50 on its own (When all your other resources have run out)... within 2-5 minutes, but when you need to cut down trees, clear away brush, collect herbs or other materials... it takes 5, 16, 30, 50, 60, 90 in energy each to do or collect... which can take a long time to get through these, as often times you need to FIRST clear away rocks, stones, ice, grass, brush, etc. that are blocking your paths to get to the items you need or tasks to complete.... that is... once you find the path often having to dig or cut through various locations before you find the right one. On the rare, some things you collect, while requiring energy may offer some energy back after collecting them... but, the energy you get back may be 3 or 4 in energy for an item that initially requires 15 or more to get. By the time you get through your necessary tasks to keep your town running which requires energy, the deadline to complete any challenges you may have opted to play additionally has expired with little to nothing to show for it. All That time you spent playing and game energy wasted.

So I tried another game of Klondike, this time just sticking to my town and completing dailies and building up my town without any additional special events or challenges. To my surprise on the literal third day of game play, there were no dailies posted and I worked through the ones I had. Plus, the more you build up your town, the quicker you go through your coins and no longer have enough to build these necessities for your town to properly grow or get more dailies or enough product or the right type of product (Given, you don't have the right buildings built to make the product in demand or you ran out of resources to make the product to fill orders you need for your customers)... which is one of your main sources of income to keep your town thriving and to get you through to the next levels (* Mind you, I purchased with game coin, only the necessary buildings required to complete my important dailies and keep my orders filled. I didn't get any extras, as they usually cost gems to purchase anyways, which you get at best 60 gems to work with, unless you pay real money to get more... which can get used up quickly if you're not careful. )

This has been an ongoing issue for many since the game came out, but since most people are willing to pay good money to play, the creators of this game have little empathy to work with those who can't afford or don't want to spend their hard earned money away to play this.

Additionally, I too have witnessed glitches in the game that causes you to loose coins for various reasons and to no fault of your own. Other players who complained of this too went the distance more than I did in contacting customer support only to get no help or answers or weren't successful in getting through to anyone at all.

I have heard other players of Klondike complain they were willing to spend as much as $100.00 + of real money to play these games (as the game offers game packs that usually run from $3.99 to over $100.00 or more) and STILL could not see their way through the entirety of the game. Needless to say... something is very wrong here.

The game is very addicting the first few days of game play, just enough to get you roped in and thinking... "Well... $3.99 isn't that much to pay.... or maybe even $50.00 when all comes too quickly to a screeching halt as you find your coin, energy and resources are used up and sparse to come by without paying real money to keep you going. They rope you in enough hoping you will continue to invest more. To your surprise, you are shocked to see just how quickly a mere $3.99 here... a great $.99 cent deal there or a $50.00 investment still doesn't get you far.

The game in its own right is quite addicting and can be very fun to play. Just unfortunate this game is treated like your hard-core computer or game consoles are... where sometimes big money is expected. But for a phone? Really??

It’s addicting. I enjoy playing it; however, the major con is the $6 weekly charge and how fast your energy points are drained by having so many obstacles placed in your way. Also the lack of adequate tools which only allow for limited work.

Not sure yet. It’s hard to play without friends or neighbors and I don’t see any possibility in the app to add some.
