Kingdom guard is a game that you will be playing for a long time as you complete the challenges and upgrade your castle, dragon and troops. During this time you will want to make sure that your game is safe in case you have any problems with your device. Or you may want to be able to move your progress to a new device or play on more than one.

To do this you will need to link the game to an external account which will enable you to restore the progress made at any time.

Link your game

You can link your game from the settings menu of the game, to get to this first tap on your avatar in the top left, then tap the cog icon on the top right of your profile screen to open the settings.

In the settings menu select the account option.

Then 'Link account'

How to link and transfer your account

You should have the option to link to more than one external account. For example Google play or facebook.

You can link to both for added security or you can even have more than one game account set up and link them separately to each external account. But as the game allows you to create multiple characters this is not really necessary.

You can check the link is active by returning to the 'Link account' option again to see that the option for your account choice is grayed out.

Restore your game

When you need to restore your game progress, either onto a new device, or if you have had to reinstall the app this is a similar process.

Once in the game go to the Settings menu again and select the Account option.

You can now tap on 'Switch'

How to link and transfer your account

Log into the same account as you have used previously and it will allow you to load your game progress.

You can also use this method to switch between different game accounts if you have linked them to separate external accounts.
