How can I stop the game from lagging when I am racing?

This may be an issue with your device or internet connection which you may or may not be able to improve. You can try to alter the performance settings of the game to lower the quality a little which may help it run more smoothly.

Tap the cog icon in the top right to enter settings and then select the Performance tab. Reducing the frame rate (FPS), the resolution or other settings here can reduce the load on your device and give a better experience.
