How many levels do I need to clear to move up to the next league?

You have to stay in the top 100, I think. If you’re below 500, you get demoted.

It's not about the level number itself, it's about how far up the rankings you can get by the end of each time period (I think it renews every couple days.) So you could be in the same "league" with people who are on any level number. It just depends on how much time you want to spend playing or how fast you can earn points/stars. I hope this helps!
