Adventure Escape: Vanishing Act - Chapter 4 Walkthrough

Adventure Escape: Vanishing Act is an escape room puzzle game, part of the series of Adventure Escape Mysteries from Haiku Games featuring Detective Kate Gray.

In Chapter 3 we experienced a flashback to learn about Kate and Allies childhood. Now back in the present Allie has managed to disappear again but wants to meet Kate alone at their Grandparent's Cabin.

Chapter 3 Walkthrough

While you wait for Allie to arrive you decide to find a way inside and snoop around.

Star: on the tree above the red car.

First tap on the red car to open the door and look inside.

Press the 'OPEN' button by the steering wheel to open the glove box. Then you can collect the Flashlight. Then open the center box between the seats to find a Bobby Pin.

Use the bobby pin on the front door of the cabin to open it and go inside. It is dark so use the flashlight on the scene to look around.

You can try the light switch that doesn't work, then drag the light around the room to find a Lighter on a small table and a Fire Poker by the fireplace.

Go back outside and use the Fire poker on the jammed storage chest in front of the cabin. Collect the Hedge Clippers and a Hatchet.

Use the Hedge Clippers on the Old Bush near the steps to cut it away and find an old canoe.

Then use the Hatchet on the canoe to chop it up into firewood.

Go back inside and move the flashlight to the fireplace so you can see it and then add the firewood. Use the lighter to light it to get the fire going.

Examine the mail on the table.

Then move the papers away to find an old photo album

Allie then arrives. After you talk you need to fix the fuse box to get the power on.

First look at the door next to the fireplace to see a list of height measurements from the past, each with a sticker.

Now you can head outside to and look at the fuse box that is on the side of the cabin.

Fuse Box Lock

• This has a 6 digit lock.
• Notice the 6 stickers on the left.
• Use the information from the door frame and the photo album to get the code.

Fuse Box Puzzle

• Make a connection using the pieces from the bottom left to the green outlet on the right.
• Each square need to be slid around the board.
• You have to use all of the connection pieces to complete it.

Head back inside and talk to Allie. Now you need to look around for more information on Charlie and Elias. First view Allie bag that is by the door on the left.

Take Murphy's ID and then collect the Hour Hand and Allie's Keys.

Now use the keys on the door by the fireplace to open it and then go up to the Attic.

Open the box on the lower right and collect a Drawer Knob and a Minute Hand.

Then also collect a Second Hand from the lower left next to the chess board.

Go down again and view the drawer underneath Allie's bag. Use the drawer know on this to open it. Collect the Wheel.

Return to the Attic and add the Wheel to the pink Hand truck to fix it and collect it.

Now use the hand truck on the blue cupboard to move it away from the window. Then use the Poker on the boards to uncover the window.

Look out of the window to see Allie by her car.

Use the keys on the car, this turns on the headlights and makes a shadow on the wall. This is a clue.

Now go back down stirs and view the clok on the wall, it is missing the hands

Clock Puzzle

• Add the 3 clock hands to it to begin.
• Now set the time to match the clue seen in the shadow on the wall.
• Each hand will resemble a feature on the wall.

Collect Allie's Journal then examine it.

After talking again head to the attic and then look out the window. Allie is taken away.

Go down and outside to find Allie's car. Use the keys to open it.

Collect the Laptop and en move a blanket to find and collect a Step Ladder.

With the Laptop on you need the Password. The clue is Magic Quest High Score.

Return to the attic and place the step ladder by the green shelves and open the Treehouse box.

Collect a Blacklight Bulb and a Game Controller.

Use the bulb on the main light in the room to replace it and reveal some hidden symbols.

Tap the sleeping bag to move it and then use the poker on the loose floor boards. There is a puzzle box inside.

Puzzle Box

• Look through Allie's journal again to see some pages have hidden images.
• Pages 1 - 4 have images. You can find these images in the room.
• Look inside the Cupboard for the Rose.
• Each image is next to a symbol.

Look in the box and collect the Cabinet Key and the Magic Quest Game Cartridge.

Go back down and use the key to open the cabinet to the left of the attic door. Collect the Game Console.

Then go back up to the attic and view the TV. Place the console, the controller and the cartridge by the TV to start the game

Magic Quest

• Use the controller buttons to move the witch from the top to the red door on the bottom right.
• Pick up items to use on the way. You can only carry one at a time.
• Keys unlock the colored barriers. Wands remove the bunny statues and the bird will let you fly over gaps.
• Press A to travel through the colored portals.

Once done you get the High Score number for Allie. Go back to the Laptop and enter the code.

Look through the message and then read the email to get the details of the next job.

You then call Murphy for help.

This competes chapter 4, move on to Chapter 5.
