Snowbreak: Containment Zone

Snowbreak: Containment Zone Weapon Tier List

By Paul | Sep 4th 2023

Snowbreak CZ has a large variety of weapons to choose from and you can freely swap them between operatives, as long as they can use the specific weapon types. Weapons are not locked behind certain characters making them quite versatile and universal. However, their rarity and tier will still matter as higher rarity weapons will always outperform low-tier ones. In our Snowbreak CZ Weapon Tier List, we will rank the various weapons in the game and provide brief descriptions about our top choices.

Weapon Improvement and Modification

You can level up your weapon to improve its stats, ascend to reach higher level limits, customize it with different unlocked parts, and many more. These methods significantly improve the performance and effectiveness of a weapon in combat. We have covered these weapon improvement options in a dedicated article but for the sake of the tier list, we have considered the weapons' effects, overall utility, and specific factors which we will include in the description of our top choices in the tier list.

You can also check out our article for various methods of acquiring new weapons for your operatives.

About Signature Weapons

Certain operatives have their own signature weapons that complement their skills. These weapons usually have the same damage type as them but this doesn't mean that they're good only when their respective operatives are using them. In fact, signature weapons can be used by other characters, even when they have different damage types. However, this won't be optimal since the weapons will only become simple "stat sticks" instead of using their beneficial effects. There are also certain manifestations or neural skills that get activated when the operative is using a weapon of a specific damage type.

Snowbreak: Containment Zone Top Tier Weapons

Anti-Evil Ward

This assault rifle increases Electrical DMG and CRIT Damage. Each electrical damage it deals stacks up "Crimson Cloud". Once the maximum number of Crimson Cloud stacks are collected, the stack is cleared and the user gains a significant ATK bonus for a brief period. Crimson Cloud stacks can still be collected while the ATK bonus period is active.

This is the signature weapon of Chenxing - Ethereal Cloud and complements her ability to mark multiple targets and deal electrical damage to them simultaneously. Even when used by other characters, the good rate of fire that's innate to assault rifles will still allow the user to build up the Crimson Cloud stacks fairly quickly.

Pine Aurora

Pine Aurora is an outstanding Frost pistol that increases frost damage and boosts the entire squad's damage by a certain amount each time a support skill hits an enemy. This effect can be stacked as well. This is a good weapon for Acacia-Kaguya as well since her support skill has a high chance of hitting enemies multiple times in a short amount of time.

Star Ocean

This 5-star pistol focuses on boosting the user's Skill DMG. When the user's active skill hits the target, the weapon deals bonus Kinetic DMG for a few seconds. The duration of this bonus damage will reset as long as you hit the target.

100 Battle Veteran

This 5-star submachine gun has a universally-useful effect that buffs the user's attack and further increases the ballistic damage dealt by the weapon based on the number of bullets left. This damage boost can go from 42% up to 70% when the weapon is fully maxed out.

Tiny Grains

This 5-star shotgun is an amazing weapon that increases the user's ATK and applies debuffs to enemies around the user. When the user is hit, it slows down the movement speed of all enemies around the user while also increasing the damage they'll take.

Atrium Frontline

This 4-star SMG's effect grows along with your operative since it can increase the user's ATK based on the operative's level x 1.5 every second. So for example, you gave it to a LV50 operative, that operative will get a 75 ATK boost (50*1.5) which will stack up to 450 ATK bonus (75*6) after just six seconds. When fully modified, the maximum stack is going to be 10 stacks, which will give a LV50 operative a 750 ATK bonus.

Horn of the Orca

This 5-star sniper rifle boosts CRIT DMG and standard ballistic DMG, and replenishes a bullet whenever a standard shot hits the target. The bullet replenishment gives the user more chances to shoot before reloading.

Space Cowboy

This 5-star sniper rifle boosts Thermal DMG and increases the damage of the next shot by a huge amount. This is the signature weapon of Yao-Winter Solstice but it can be used by any DPS sniper and still take advantage of its effects.
