Paper Bride 5 Walkthrough

Paper Bride 5 Two Lifetimes is another in the popular series of Mystery Puzzle games from Heartbeat Plus. The game features tales inspired by Chinese Folk lore and challenging puzzles to keep you entertained. As with the previous games in the series Paper Bride 5 is playable on both Mobile and Steam.

Chapter 1 begins at a theatre to watch a play called Liang Zhu. You meet with Zhong Ziyi. You first need to get a ticket so that you can all go in.

Follow the tutorial prompts to get the ticket. Then back to the entrance and scan the ticket to go in.

You meet also with Xiao Cui (Tao Mengyan). Then start watching the play.

A fire starts on stage and all the other patrons disappear. You are locked in.

Paper Bride 5 - Chapter 1 Old Demons Walkthrough

Your first task is to put out the fire. But the fire extinguisher cabinet on the back wall is locked.

Fire Extinguisher

• Tap on the seat on the right with the face print on it.
• You will see 4 chairs with masks on them. Notice that each has a number
• Now look at the cabinet on the wall to see the same 4 masks. Get the numbers in the same order from the seats.

Solution:

Take the Fire Extinguisher. Then turn to the stage. Use the fire extinguisher on the fire.

Now you can tap on the flowers on the front of the stage and collect a paper umbrella. Then tap on the butterfly and it will turn into a Jade Butterfly for you to collect.

Next view the grave stone on the stage.

Add the jade butterfly to it and the stone cracks revealing some symbols. You need to remember these.

3 Pictures

Go back to the seating area and then view the 3 round pictures on the wall on the right.

These have the same 3 symbols in them .

Tap the 3 images to rotate them, you need to set them to the same as the positions shown on the grave stone.

Once done you can collect the embroidered red shoe.

Now return to the stage and view the grave stone again. Place the show on the brazier in front of the stone next to the already burnt one. When it also burns a secret door opens behind the stone.

Go through to a room full of stage props. There are several clues here to find.

First tap on the dressing table in the center, then look at the blue book on it.

Flip through the pages until you can collect the Seal.

Use the View button to read the text and get a clue.

Next look above the door on the left to see a breaker box. Use the Paper umbrella on it and you will turn on some switches.

Back out to the stage again and notice that the sign on the right now has 3 Red Symbols. The display will change to show red symbols in other positions.

Then turn to the seating area. On the left side seats is a small box to look at.

Puzzle Box

Arrange the blocks on the box to copy the red symbols from the sign. The one at the top is given.

Solution:

Collect the Makeup Brush.

Now go back to the prop room through the secret entrance. View the table in the center again and use the Makeup Brush on the red paint to dip it.

Door Puzzle

Now view the door on the left. There is a pattern of lines and nodes.

• Use the brush to draw on the pattern.
• Start at any of the circles.
• You need to cover all of the lines but you cannot pass over any line twice.
• The clue says to start at a point with an odd number of lines.
• There are 2 of these to the upper left of center.

The door opens and you can go through to a store room.

First view the table on the lower right side. Collect the Mallet from here and then read the newspaper clipping.

Note the 7 red symbols on the bottom of the paper.

Chest Puzzle

Next you need to view the blue chest on the floor on the left. There is a paper seal on it. Add the Paper seal that you have to it.

Now back up and tap the red cloth hanging at the back to remove it and reveal some drums / cymbals.

Use the clue from the news paper to get an order to play the instruments in. Use the Mallet to hit then in the correct order.

Solution:

Look inside the opened Chest and move the clothes to collect the Cloth Doll

Back out to the prop room to see an apparition, then after it disappears you need to return to the store room. View the small miniature stage on the right.

You will see an image on a phone screen of 5 colored dolls. Remember this order and their positions.

Return to the main stage in the theatre. Then view the tree on the left, there are 5 hanging butterflies.

Butterfly Puzzle

• Tap pairs of butterflies to swap them around to get the correct order.
• Use the arrows below rach one to move it up or down to get the correct positions as shown in the image of the dolls.
• When done a section of the tree opens.

Collect the Back Pennant and the Pellet Drum

Now go back through the secret door to the Prop Room. Look at the small wooden shrine box on the wall to the right of the door.

Place the Cloth doll on it and it will then reveal some symbols on the top and bottom.

Now go through to the Store room and view the cabinet on the left with the 2 shelves.

Shelves Puzzle

• Follow the clue of the symbols on the shrine to arrange the items on the 2 shelves.
• Tap pairs of them to swap positions.

You will then collect a Cloth Ball with a bell inside.

Next view the table on the right of the room again and place the Back Pennant with the other 3 seen here.

You can then collect a Cloth Tiger.

Now return to the prop room and view the shrine again. Add the Cloth Ball and Cloth Tiger to it. Then finally add the Pellet Drum as well.

You can now collect a Key from the Doll.

Return to the Theatre and you can use the key on the locked doors at the entrance.

You try to use the Exit but You are now part of the play.

This completes Chapter 1 and you move on to Chapter 2
