Giving a complete walkthrough of this game, the locations of the secret items, the lowdown of the entire map, and the best route to get the lowest time for speed running will ruin the experience of perfecting your adventure by yourself. Hence, what we will offer here are just the general tips on how to play the game.

1.) Look Closely

Some of the locations are just obscure, too obscure. In your first playthrough, just look at every nook and cranny. Take a risk, spend those lives, as no one is watching you. Just find the locations, secret paths, the most efficient routes so that the next time you play in a speed-run, or a self-imposed challenge, you have all the knowledge necessary to blitz through the game.

2.) This is Not Mario

As the review stated, this is a Metroidvania clone, not a Mario-inspired game. Meaning, as everyone would definitely do the first time around, jumping on the head of the bats, the slimes, among other creepers, will lose you your life, and they will keep theirs. So, you just evade them until you get the right tool or method in getting rid of them. Yes, I admit it, I did it too!

3.) Four of Hearts

Initially, you have three hearts to spare. There are a total of four hearts that are stashed away in obscure locations. These are not easy to get, but you will still able to get them. Provided, you are able to get their exact locations, and the specific methods and tools to be used in getting them. The four hearts have no use for those who want a deep challenge, like the One Heart challenge. But for those completionists, the Four of Hearts are to die for.

4.) Save it For Later

Remember where the save points are located. They are the best landmarks for directions. Also, the save points signify something, something must be near. There are things of interest around and nearby these save points. It may be the final treasure, it may be the bonus heart, it could be anything.

5.) Master the Tools

Without the tools, you cannot go further in the game. As mentioned in the review, the throwing knives are also used in pushing blocks from a distance. There are multiple purposes of the tools, and some of them can be used cleverly in some puzzles. Using the tools together will net you great results. So use them accordingly.
