Tekken Card Tournament Guide
1. Recommended First time Player Card sets
There are at least 3 unofficial types of characters in Tekken: Card tournament. The heavy hitters/damage dealers, fast draw character – cards that have mostly draw effect along with it resulting to platform advantage, and the technique type of character cards – has buffing abilities like conceal, protection, and heal. Beginners might want to stick on the damage dealer types to progress early on the game. Characters like Kazuya, Paul and Panda alike mostly have heavy hitting cards and effects.
2. Sell Unused Cards
Upon initially receiving your first deck, you may want to upgrade it with booster packs. A Silver Booster pack usually contains only two specific cards that you’ll be able to actually use in your deck. After a few upgrades and tailoring of your deck, you’ll be left with a fair amount of reserved/unused cards. You may opt to sell this for extra gold when you reach level 3.
3. Save up on Gold and Credit until Level 11
Upon reaching level 11 in the arcade mode, you may have collected at least 10000 gold and 400 credits. With this at hand, you may want to go to the booster shop and buy an “Ultra Pack” which will most likely have 1 Rare Card, 4 Random Common cards and 1 Super Rare card. Super Rare cards have powerful buffs/effects that grant you outstanding advantage in the game. Stick to whomever Super Rare character card you’ll receive in this pack and sell your initial deck. Re-purchase a starter set of cards and a few booster packs for your new character.
4. Grind to level 30
Upon reaching level 30, the game will start to have higher battle rewards and unlock other reward bonuses. At this point, Uncommon or Elite cards will more likely be easier to obtain.
