Gamer reviews for Sherlock・Hidden Object Mystery

Whoever created the artwork didn't know much about Victorian Britain (for example, American-style fire hydrants in London streets), adult women with hair worn in plaits or tails). Why are some images reversed, so that Sherlock Holmes is sometimes right-handed but at other left-handed? Had he been ambidextrous, Conan Doyle would surely have mentioned it (or maybe someone is taking liberties with the author's creation?)
I like it but I don't like the words disappearing. Scrambled letters are annoying but I eventually get them. The shadow stuff is annoying. And finding differences, 19, is rough. Doing it in 2 colors makes it harder. I started this game to challenge my brain and it does.
Very entertaining although one of my books is still down loading after three weeks
I like the game but I don't like revisiting a book after finishing it once.
I like the challenges, but it seems like when they change to a new book it takes several days to get it and to get extra crystals is a big headache!! It only works a couple of days a week and then it's down for several days.
Beautiful graphics, clear screens, easy levels and also challenging levels, enjoyable.
I LOVE the game...too much apparently. I think I am addicted!
Love the game. Very beautiful graphics. Very challenging.
I love the game, no question! BUT, I need to buy red crystals and haven't been able to for the past 6 days. HELP!!!!
Great game! Lots of levels and activities within the game to keep your interest.
The game is addicting because I like the stories. I play to find out more about the story. The free rewards are good and customer service is good and the developers are excellent.
It was a good game--now you can't play and succeed unless you spend $$$$$$$$$ all the time you can tell it's coded this way in their favor just like the mob at a casino! House wins you loose!
Great game very addicting play everyday you should try won't be dissapointed.
I like it but I wish the objects in the game were explained better.
The games are fun and not extremely difficult, the graphics are great, and the plots (while sometimes rather nonsensical and illogical) are interesting enough to follow. The gold coins are mostly useless. I wish there was somewhere that explained things in the game besides how to play it - what some things mean and how they work.
Repetative, not enough magnification, too many 100% hidden objects, not enough moves to get even halfway through many match 3 puzzles and a money pit! Don't list a game as free and then jam items to buy constantly to complete a stage.
I like the game the best of the G5 hidden objects. At least you get a few freebees. Not a bad way to relax.
I love the game and have enjoyed playing it immensely.
It's a great memory-exercise game, especially for seniors. However, when a new book is to be opened, it never completes the download on my PC until more than half the available playable days have passed. Otherwise, I love the game ... been playing it for years!
Meh..... this game is unsolvable, so a person can play forever without spending a dime. It can be frustrating tho' because search time is very tight..except when a book is first opened.
Love it! It’s my go to game 24/7.
Already at level 6 in most books, but stuck in Frankensteins laboratory with destroying the pumpkins.
I love it because you have a choice of investigating or match 3.
I find there is not enough time to complete all the searches for those of us older people.
It is challenging and fun. I am addicted to it.
I enjoy this game on a daily basis. The scenes are well done and fun to explore.
I like the game but would love to see things made a bit easier for us who strain to see objects that are really small.
Sherlock is brilliant! I love the concept of the game and particularly the idea of travelling with bookmarks. The monthly challenges keep me wanting to go back and try more. I really like the match 3s and the mirror quests.
Awesome I like books and the main caracter sherlock is one of my favorite.
I think the Sherlock game is fabulous! I love playing it. It certainly is challenging. The graphics are unbelievably amazing! I only wish there was a guide to tell us certain things we can't figure out.
I think Sherlock - Hidden Object Mystery is a FABULOUS game. The graphics are spectacular! I like that you can choose between the search mode or the Find a 3-match mode. It's challenging and a fun way to pass the time.
Fun, and interesting that they base it on literature. Expensive to play though
Was 5 until they removed the ability to change search mode. Makes it difficult to finish daily challenges if one requires a certain mode. What were they thinking....or not?
I'm playing 4 G5 games right now. They are all unbelievably awesome! They have great story lines and the artwork... is truly (I don't know the right word) prizeworthy? Unbelievable. I hope someone is winning awards for this, they deserve to be. My only wish is that I had a little more time to complete a level and that it was easier to find some of the tools and items for assembling a collection. All in all this is a very well done game; professional, fun to play and unique desigin.
It is a fun and challenging . Always gives you a sense of accomplish to finally locate something you just could not find or complete a match three after many tries.
Brilliant game Absolutely love it. Spend far too much time on it.
Excellent, can play all day never runs out of energy.
This is a good game for spending a little relaxing time. There’s no goal, no ending, and no winning; it just keeps going on and on. So there’s no rush, stress, or tension. However, it has some flaws. You have to be disciplined enough not to spend a lot of money or it can be very expensive. Also, there are occasional glitches. The latest one for me is the screen dims and everything stops working. I have to close the game and reopen. The other frustrating thing is the Match 3 games seem odd. Pieces don’t fall as you expect. I’ve been trying to figure out the algorithm and it seems like some of the results aren’t random, they’re built into the code. I hope I’m wrong because it might suggest the developers are purposely creating situations that would provoke the player into spending money. For example, you’ve used all your turns on a Match 3 game and you need just one or two more moves to win. It’s very tempting to use some jewels so you can get more turns, but you have to spend cash. That pattern happens frequently. I could be a mediocre player and that situation might be random, or it could be part of the algorithm.
*) I find the game much too difficult. It is no fun when after just a short time you don't find the objects anymore because they are "invisible". That is not fun.
*) Also you get too less resources to play (like energy).
*) At the beginning you could use play-money to open a next chapter. Since the book about the secret garden you need two more levels for opening a next chapter. That takes AGES!!! You also could open it with diamonds - but they are always SO rare.
*) So now you collect all the money but you can't use it ANYWHERE. What's the meaning in this?
*) There is no description for the game. I play it a year now and still don't know a lot of features of that game.
*) Sure, everyone want their players to buy things with real money. But I would rather invest some if I'm not feeling "cheated" to do it but when I have really FUN in a game.
*) The graphics are wonderful though.
I like it so much! I like that you can choose to play either hidden object or match three.
The more you play this game the more addictive it gets!
Great fun and vivid graphics that are awesome. A lot of talent and time is included in this G5 game. Very well done and money well spent!
I think the game is a blast. It does take some cash to buy the rubies and coins and other items but I feel it is worth the entertainment cost for me. Colorado Termite
Love it. Addicting. Wish there was a way to get energy more.
