Mobile Games Weekly Update Roundup: 4-11 May 2026

A packed week across the big live-service titles. Brawl Stars kicks off its Starr Patrol season on Thursday with a new brawler and an Adidas Super Ball mode, while Clash Royale's Siege & Swish season gets its Mega Draft Global Tournament going until May 10. Pokémon GO has a Lechonk Community Day on Saturday with an exclusive move, and AFK Journey's Frieren: Beyond Journey's End crossover is running through to May 27.

There's also a big one for Monopoly Go players this week: the Villainous Partners event closes out Thursday, Sticker Boom is live Monday to Tuesday, and the season's first Golden Blitz — featuring Hook's Hook and Fox Ferry — has already fired. Monopoly GO

Update: Ever After Season / Villainous Partners / Sticker Boom

Monopoly Go's Monopoly Ever After season runs from April 8 through to June 3. Inside that window, this week sees the Villainous Partners event wrapping up on May 7 at 3:59 PM ET — a co-op event for players who've reached Board 5 or higher, where pairs work together toward a shared prize. The Sticker Boom event ran May 5 to May 6, giving an extra 50% stickers from every pack opened.

The season's first Golden Blitz also landed around May 1, featuring two tradeable gold stickers — Hook's Hook (Set 13) and Fox Ferry (Set 17). These were chosen by community vote. Brawl Stars

Update: Starr Patrol Season launches May 7

The Starr Patrol season begins on Thursday, bringing a superhero theme, a completely redesigned shop, and new brawler Starr Nova — a Mythic Assassin with a mid-range piercing attack and a dash-based Super that transforms her into a more powerful form with sword slashes and lifesteal.

Alongside Starr Nova, the season introduces the Starr Patrol Modifier, where players collect Crystals to transform into powered-up Starr Girls (variants of Spike, Bea, Juju, Amber, and Starr Nova). There's also a 5v1 Void Finx boss fight, and Juju's Oddities Shop replaces the previous Shop layout with personalized daily bundle offers. The Brawl Stars x My Hero Academia collab — Supercell's first anime crossover, running since April 28 — closes out around May 5–7, with the free Uravity Janet skin available to players who complete the nine-win challenge before the event ends.

Clash Royale

Update: Season 83 "Siege & Swish" — Mega Draft Global Tournament runs May 5–10

The Mega Draft Global Tournament is the headline event this week, running May 5 to May 10. Players build decks by drafting cards one by one while watching their opponent's picks — the format rewards reading and reacting rather than showing up with a fixed build.

Season 83 launched May 4 with two new Heroes. Hero Bowler is available through the Album Event — his Siege Mode ability lets him stop moving and gain a long-range attack targeting both troops and towers. Hero Dark Prince is tied to the Diamond Pass, and comes with a split-pressure mechanic. Clash Royale's balance changes also went live May 4, with major reworks to Electro Giant and Giant Skeleton alongside nerfs to Spirit Empress, Dark Prince, and Evolved Tesla.

Pokémon GO

Update: Lechonk Community Day — Saturday 9 May

Community Day lands on Saturday, May 9, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. Pokémon GO's Lechonk takes the spotlight with increased wild spawns, 2x catch Candy, and boosted shiny odds. Evolve Lechonk into Oinkologne before 9 PM that evening to get the exclusive Fast Attack Mud-Slap. Other bonuses include quarter egg hatch distance, extended Incense (three hours), and one additional Special Trade.

On May 6, the raid pool rotates to bring back Nihilego in Five-Star Raids and Mega Camerupt in Mega Raids. Shadow Cresselia is also appearing in five-star Shadow Raids on weekends throughout the Memories in Motion season, running until June 2.

AFK Journey

Update: Frieren: Beyond Journey's End crossover — live through May 27

Farlight Games' third major IP collaboration brings the fantasy anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End into AFK Journey from May 1 to May 27. Frieren and Himmel arrive as Dimensional faction heroes — Himmel is available by logging in on Day 1 of the event, Frieren on Day 3.

Frieren is built as an S-Level Mage for sustained damage, with her Ultimate "Zoltraak" repositioning her to the backline before releasing a wide beam attack with split true damage. Himmel focuses on utility — knockdowns, a "Hero Party" formation that grants shields and stat boosts, healing, and cleansing. Progressing through event activities awards resources to ascend Himmel to Mythic+, and Frieren's winter outfit skin is available as part of the collab. This marks the anime's first-ever mobile RPG collaboration.

Genshin Impact

Update: Version 6.5 Phase 2 — Nefer and Lauma reruns through May 19

Genshin Impact is mid-way through Version 6.5 "Augured Homecoming," with Phase 2 running April 28 through May 19. The current Character Event Wishes feature rerun banners for Nefer and Lauma, and the flagship event "Where Waves Meet the Reef" is running in parallel — a trade expo event involving minigames and rewards tied to characters Jahoda and others.

Looking ahead, Version 6.6 "Luna VII" is confirmed for May 20, bringing new 5-star characters Nicole (Pyro Catalyst) and Lohen (Cryo Polearm), plus new 4-star Prune (Anemo Catalyst). HoYoverse's official drip marketing confirmed all three as of mid-April, with the Special Program livestream expected in early May.

Clash of Clans

Update: Skeleton Kingdom season — Community Event opens May 4

Clash of Clans' May season theme is Skeleton Kingdom, with an undead-gothic aesthetic and a Grand Warden skin in the Gold Pass. Clan War Leagues (CWL) run through May 11, rewarding CWL Medals for competitive clan battles. The Community Event opened May 4 and runs to May 18, where players contribute to collective milestones by completing in-game tasks.

The season's Dragon Duke Hero can currently be used through a limited time unlock event that runs May 27 to May 31 — earlier in the month he can be earned via various event activities. The Mini Spotlight event from May 9 to 16 features the Super Dragon.

Pokémon TCG Pocket

Update: Pulsing Aura expansion now live / Community Week opens May 9

The Pulsing Aura expansion (B3) launched April 28, adding 234 cards to Pokémon TCG Pocket including Mega Lucario ex, Mega Sceptile ex, and Vaporeon ex, plus new Trainer Korrina and the Arena of Antiquity Stadium card. Gold frames were added for duplicate cards, with retroactive rewards.

This week, the Pulsing Aura Emblem Event runs through May 13, letting players earn profile emblems and rewards through battles. Community Week missions open May 9 to May 16, where trading and sharing cards earns trade hourglasses, accessories, and other items. Ranked Match Season 13 opens May 13 for those looking for competitive play with the new card pool.

Idle Heroes

Update: Soul-Awakening Gala — running through May 7

Idle Heroes' early May patch from DH Games runs a full week of events from May 1 through May 7. The headline is the Soul-Awakening Gala, where players in the same Auction House Trade Zone earn points through awakening heroes to compete for Wonder unlocks — the top 10 in each session push their combined totals to trigger shared milestones.

The Glorious Treasury limited-time shop is also live through May 7, with discounts of 50% off the first four redemptions at Shop 1 and 50% off the first two at Shop 3. Daily login rewards include seven Enchanted Cards per day, redeemable for random Hero Cards. The Weaponry of Valor series has launched for two specific heroes — Cosmic Enforcer-Luna and Star Alchemist-Holmes Young — gating the treasure chests behind Sacred Workshop point thresholds.

NTE: Neverness to Everness

Update: First week of global live service

NTE: Neverness to Everness launched globally on April 29 across iOS, Android, PC, Mac, and PS5, and this is its first full week of live content. The Hotta Studio open-world RPG sets players up as Anomaly Hunters in the city of Hethereau on Unreal Engine 5, with cross-platform progression. Version 1.0 handed out 120+ free pulls on launch and continues to reward players through gameplay milestones.

Worth dropping into if you haven't already — more than 25 million players pre-registered before launch, which gives a sense of the server load to expect in the early going.
