What does the changing number to the left of my collection of tiles mean?

The changing number to the left of your tiles tells you how many tiles remain to be drawn during the game. Touch the number and it will open up so that you may see exactly what letters remain to be drawn and how many of each. Important to check this info near the end of the game. How many letters and what they are.
